Deliveries will be made using a truck that has a tail-lift and a manual pallet truck. By default, the delivery will not be placed more than several meters away from the edge of the road. Our drivers will make every effort to deliver the products to the desired location specified by the customer. However, if there are obstacles such as a gravel, stone driveway or grass that hinder the delivery, it is not the responsibility of the driver to ensure that the goods are taken any further. If the access is deemed unsuitable, it may result in the delivery being left at the edge of the road.

Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork,  Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow. NI: Antrim, Down, Armagh, Derry/Londonderry, Tyrone and Fermanagh.

Here is the explained process of getting your firewood delivered:

Day 1: After you make your purchase, the crate will be prepared for dispatch on the next business day, during the morning hours.

Day 2: Your order will be dispatched and forwarded to the national pallet distribution.

Day 3-5: Your order will be delivered.

Estimated Delivery Day based on Order Placed:

– If you place your order on Monday (by 1pm), the estimated delivery days are Thursday, Friday, and Monday.
– If you place your order on Tuesday (by 1pm), the estimated delivery days are Friday, Monday, and Tuesday.
– If you place your order on Wednesday (by 1pm), the estimated delivery days are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
– If you place your order on Thursday (by 1pm), the estimated delivery days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
– If you place your order on Friday (by 1pm), the estimated delivery days are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
– If you place your order on Saturday (at any time), the estimated delivery days are Thursday, Friday, and Monday.
– If you place your order on Sunday (at any time), the estimated delivery days are Thursday, Friday, and Monday.

Access to the property

Deliveries are contracted for kerbside only. Whether the haulier will deliver onto the property is at their discretion. Standard deliveries are made using an 18-tonne vehicle with dimensions of 2.8m wide, 4m high, and 11m long (including the tail lift). If possible and at the discretion of the haulier, the delivery onto the property will be made using a pallet pump truck.

Restricted Access

Restricted access vehicles are used to deliver items to the kerbside of a property, not directly onto the property itself. Please be aware that occasionally a 12-tonne or 7.5-tonne vehicle may be used based on availability. If absolutely necessary, please select the restricted access option on the checkout comment box. The delivery depot will assess the road access to the kerbside and determine the appropriate vehicle. It is important to consider any overhanging branches when dealing with restricted access situations.

Restrictions

For unloading, it is important that all vehicles are on a flat surface. The tail lift can only operate properly when all wheels are level.

The pallet pump truck is not suitable for moving on soft surfaces due to its small wheels, which become trapped when sinking into the ground.

Controlling the pallet truck on slopes is not feasible due to the weight on the pallet. It is impossible for a single person to push up a slight gradient with almost 1 tonne of weight.

Re-delivery

Please make sure to provide a phone number that we can contact you at during deliveries. If we are unable to reach you, it may result in the pallet being returned to the depot.

Please be aware that there will be a re-delivery fee of €20+VAT per pallet for each subsequent delivery attempt if there is no one available to receive the delivery or if it cannot be safely left. It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery location meets these instructions! Feel free to email us if you have any doubts or inquiries.

Cancellations

If you need to return or cancel your order, please note that there may be a charge of €45 plus VAT per pallet.
